Brand Journal is designed to collect as little information as possible.

Reading the site

The site uses no advertising trackers and no cookies of its own. Its typefaces are served from Brand Journal itself. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes the technical information any website receives, such as your device's internet address, to deliver pages and protect the site.

When you write to us

When you email the desk to book a service or join the Morning Brief, we use your name, email address and the details you send only to reply, to deliver what you asked for and to keep the records the law requires. We do not sell or share them for marketing.

Marketing messages

We send marketing only to people who have agreed to receive it or who are existing customers, and every message tells you how to stop receiving them. Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, a first message to someone who is not yet a customer may only ask for permission, once.

Your rights

You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to marketing at any time. Write to the desk at lindsay@invictuscomm.com. You may also complain to South Africa's Information Regulator.
